Asia Pacific Regional Conference Submissions

SUBMISSION TYPES

  • Long Papers: Long papers should discuss, analyze, and critique theories and concepts, or report original, unpublished research; all papers must be substantiated by experimentation, simulation, theoretical development, empirical evidence, analysis or application in practice. Submissions will be judged on such criteria as quality of content, significance for theory, relevance for practice, method, design, originality, and quality of presentation. Long paper presenters will have 20 minutes to present their paper at the conference.
  • Length: The length for a long paper is expected be over 6000 words. Word counts are inclusive of all textual matter (body of the manuscript, tables, captions, references and appendixes), not counting abstract and keywords. All citations and references must be in APA format.
  • Template: Please use the template of Data and Information Management  (https://content.sciendo.com/view/journals/dim/dim-overview.xml). Any tables, figures, or other graphics should be embedded in the document.
    • Peer Review: Submissions must be anonymized and will be refereed by a double-blind review process. Do not include any author names on the paper you upload.
  • Short Papers: Short papers are similar to long papers in terms of scope, but may also report work in progress. Submissions will be judged on such criteria as quality of content, significance for theory, relevance for practice, method, design, originality, and quality of presentation. Short paper presenters will have 10 minutes to present their paper at the conference.

  • Panel Proposals: Proposals for panels are invited on topics that explore emerging cutting-edge research and design, analyses of emerging trends, opinions on controversial issues, analyses of tools and techniques, or contrasting viewpoints from experts in complementary areas of research. Panels are not a substitute for a set of contributed papers; they must have a cohesive theme and promote lively discussions. Proposals should include an overview of the issues to be discussed and must also list panelists who have agreed to participate, indicating the qualifications and contributions of each.
  • Length: The length for a panel proposal is expected be over 1000 words. Word counts are inclusive of all textual matter (body of the manuscript, tables, captions, references and appendixes), not counting abstract and keywords. All citations and references must be in APA format.

  • Peer Review: Panel proposals undergo single-blind review process and should not be anonymized.

Opportunities for Publications

Accepted long and short papers and panel proposals will be included in the conference proceedings which will be published as special issue(s) in the Journal Data and Information Management (https://www.editorialmanager.com/dim/). Besides, the outstanding papers accepted by the conference will be recommended to publish an extension in the following journals:
