Dr. Lisa Hussey is an associate professor at the School of Library and Information Science at Simmons University. Her research interests include EDI in LIS, professional identity, and mentoring and her teaching includes Information Services, Information Ethics, International & Comparative LIS, and Social Informatics. She received a Ph.D. in Library Science from the University of Missouri and a Master of Art in Information Resources and Library Science from the University of Arizona. Lisa’s LIS experience includes school libraries, academic libraries, program manager of the LIS program at the University of Arizona, and a short time as a prison librarian. She has been an active member of ASIST since 2009 and has taken on multiple organizational responsibilities, including co-chairing the international membership board, serving on the membership board, and working as part of the 2021 Conference Planning Communication committee.
